Current WIP from the stream last night!

Older art of Caerwyn, Elevar’s first simulacrum. Elevar did not do as good a job with recreating his image with Caerwyn as he did future simulacra; Caerwyn’s coloration is wrong, and they are a bit heavier. Though base personality is the same, as with all simulacra, they diverged sooner than any other simulacra Elevar has created to date, and were the first of his “children” to successfully quest for a soul.

Caerwyn is statted as a mystic theurge, wizard/druid. (Nature bond: Druidic Herbalism. Like Elevar, they are a Universalist wizard.)

An update on the map painting. I still need to finish the circle / ring things at the bottom, and to finish this poor boy’s ear, but as luck would have it, it’s storming again so my paint is still wet.

Wip of my current monstrosity of a painting. This is the completed under painting. Starting the oil now.
The face is pretty horrifying, but I hope to fix that with the oil, since it won’t dry as quickly on me. :b

Trying out Krita. Not sure what I think so far.

I’ve tried a few different brushes, but this one is a lot of fun, whatever it is :b

The program definitely has some nifty tools. It’s pretty neat. I just wish it’d work with my tablet drivers :C we’ll see if I can fix that.

What have I been up to?

Not…a bloody lot haha.

There’s been some crazy real life stuff going on since the end of Trickmurk (had a great year thanks to all that participated ❤ ) and my wrist’s been bugging me a bit.

But, I am working on a painting idea I’ve had involving Elevar. This is a very early WIP (the background is like, 5 photos mashed together and is just a placeholder until I actually DRAW a background, but I do like the palette it gave me!) and the anatomy is quite dodgy at this point.

So to do;

1) give the poor boy an actual face

2) and hair

3) and clothes

4) fix that deformed hand :C

Then I can start painting. But if you ever wondered what early concepts for me trying to nail together a full piece looks like? Here ya go.

possibly the laziest, lowest effort Elevar to ever be doodled

and that’s saying something ‘cause uhm

yeah.

Sad thing is? 15 minutes of effort max and it’s probably the most accurate I’ve ever nailed his build down. PEAR.

I’m thinking though, with all the commissions I’ve been doing, I need to just do something mindlessly self indulgent. Like doodles of some of my favorite (read: most attractive to me) of my characters or something.

Idk. (Yes Elevar is on that list)
