New model. Long gesture.

New model. Long gesture.

Warmup gestures with the first model.

A final longer gesture

After a while of drawing the skeleton, we still had no model, so the professor posed for gestures for us.

Warmup sketches from today in charcoal.
I think any problems all semester were a result of my getting a bad batch of charcoal. I was given some to borrow (same brand!) and the difference was night and day. No scratchy wood bits.

Final long gesture.

Still trying to warm up at this point. Clothes prove harder at this point to render. The black was hard to see.

Lost a lot of time when we moved to longer gestures. This was meant to be a long gesture but I spent so much time fighting with my newsprint trying to fall off the easel that it became a 2 minute quick gesture.
I was provided a clip after.

Live drawing initial warmup gestures. Drawing the clothes figure this time. The coat provided a nice visual shortcut.

Initial quick gestures for warmup. Proportions were all kinds of wonky today but I think I had good energy going with my figures.
