Drawing from sculptures has been one of my favorite parts of being in Italy.
The proportions were off I noticed in the sketch, but I felt it suited my simplification for the assignment, and continued. I’m glad I did, rather than redrawing the gesture.

Final long drawing pose. This one I had the most problems with. I realized toward the end of my sketching (and after much erasing) that I’d started my initial gesture before she was finished posing. As a result, the torso is too long. I felt I captured a fair amount of energy however, and I’m definitely getting better at rendering quickly.
Third long pose. This one seemed to come together the quickest.
