A little while ago, I realized that there is NO info on what bones to use for what. I was clueless and had no idea where to begin. Research was fruitless and asking others came with no results.
So I sat down during preap algebra 2 and made my own list.
These are my own correspondences, based off of what I felt like and remembering bits of spells I’d thought about. They are 100% my own, taken from no one.
Please give me credit if you use it anywhere else 🙂
I also know I haven’t included every bone out there, if I missed one msg me, I’ll give it some thought and see what happens! 😀
▪Teeth- communication, learning other language, news, defense
▪Skull- thoughts, divination, communication, spirit work, astral
▪Spine- support, confidence, level headed
▪Arm- help, blocking (curses, hexes, psychic attacks, etc)
▪Wrist- flexibility, hard work
▪Hand- art, artistic ability, creativity, energy
▪Fingers- fluidity, progress, endurance
▪Nails/ claws- fighting, protection, finding things out, knowledge, struggle, balance
▪Rib- agility, protection
▪Hip- ebdurance, keeping it together
▪leg- endurance, travel, strength
▪Ankle- movement, moving on, catalyst
▪Foot- endurance, moving on, leaving things behind, hard work, independence, luck
▪Toe- balance, help, prosperity, money, changing luck (for the better or worse)
▪Tail- (like actual bones in the animals tail, not the tailbone) agility, secrecy, alarm, cursing
(Edited to include:)
▪Antlers- strength, endurance, masculine energy, (if you’re Wiccan, the horned God), protection, more centered toward nature and earth, deflecting curses, and hope.
▪Horns- wealth, the home, determination, aggressive protection, more centered toward that which is man made, and cursing
(Second edit)
▪Wings- adventure, deviating from the norm, sending/ receiving messages, travel, starting a new adventure/ path, hope, luck, wishes, comfort (let it be amplifying or taking away)
The type of bird would also affect the correspondences; the wing bones, to me, would increase the things the bird stands for
Sorta, loosely based off the concept of the “Injury Transference” ability from AHS: Coven. It’s a curse to send back pain that a person has caused you, a get even sort of deal. I would recommend this for an abuser who refuses to admit they’ve wronged you and/or still continue to hurt you.
What You’ll Need
A poppet of the target
Bindweed
Bloodroot powder
Chicory
New moon water
Paper
Pen
Black candle
Red sewing thread
Sewing needle
What To Do
Light your black candle and start to write down on the paper everything they’ve done to hurt you.
Take your candle and (carefully) drip the black wax on the edges of the paper.
Fold your paper into a small square as much as you can.
Open your poppet and stuff the bloodroot powder, chicory, and the paper with the wrongs written on it inside it, then after you put enough in sew it back together with the red thread.
Take your bindweed and start wrapping it around the poppet while saying/thinking “Every wrong you’ve done me comes back to you. Feel what I’ve felt, feel the pain you’ve caused me.” as many times as you wish.
Take your poppet wrapped in bindweed and “drown it” in the moon water while saying/thinking “While you feel my pain you will drown in your guilt.”
Once the ritual is complete blow out your candle and put that poppet in a place where it won’t see the light of day.
To break the curse take it out of the dark place, unwrap the bindweed, take out the chicory, and soak it in sun water.
This was the first method of sigil making I ever learned, from a post by @the-darkest-of-lights. I decided to make my own tutorial on it with my spare time. Happy sigil making! I’ll be making more of these on other methods of sigil making I think, because there’s so many different methods, and this was quite enjoyable to make.
(I know that you can make sigils with the other various planetary numerology squares but honestly I still haven’t figured out how, I only know this one.)
An alphabet of desire is the personalized magical alphabet of a witch or sorcerer. Each letter represents a sensation and is tied to a sense memory. The letters are used by the witch or sorcerer to *spell* out their desire. The *named* desire is *drawn* into existence. It is especially useful for artistic magic. You can put your personal letters on tools, charms and divination sets. Your alphabet can be used to make sigils. The alphabet of desire will reveal to the witch or sorcerer more uses as they work with it more. It can become a form of dream language too. For the most straightforward and simple information on Alphabets of desire check out Liber Null by Peter Carroll (available in paperback). Otherwise you are venturing into the challenging stuff: Frater UD’s Practical Sigil Magic, Andrew Chumbley’s Azoetia, Kenneth Grant’s various articles and excerpts re the alphabet of desire to be found via google and original works by Austin Osman Spare. When I read difficult books it can take me ages to understand, but I dig that process.
But really it’s simply the ongoing tradition of witches and sorcerers making personal alphabets and symbols that transcend mere code for regular letters A-Z and instead identify the spirit of things.
