I’m always left feeling disjointed. Not sure if I was making up the importance to set my mind at ease. But maybe… maybe it’s there. Maybe I can remember…

Not quite vent art.

Life has been very hectic lately.
I’m studying abroad now, getting bombarded with more homework than I’ve
ever seen in my life, and I’m slowly settling in to the flow of living
in a space shared with two people I barely know.

didn’t realize I didn’t draw Cel’s wings until I was midway through. I
guess that’s symbolic, too, in a sense, even if subconscious. I
definitely don’t feel as “free” as I’d been starting to before the mess
with the ex. I’d been hoping school would give me new wings.

Anyway. Non-school stuff I’ll still post immediately, and I’m gonna keep school stuff to a queue so that you guys don’t suddenly get 10 sketches all at once.

Some sketches I did to figure out the composition for my next painting in my oil class.

The top is pretty close to what the finished composition will probably look like. The bottom is just random monster studies/sketch snippets.

I’m supposed to make a sociopolitical comment with this painting as per assignment. I’d…like to keep it largely metaphorical for my own sanity.
