Melt
Sometimes when the world is too much I want to
Melt
I want to fall where I am and let myself
Melt in to
the world around me.
Disincorporate.
Dissolve.

Gilded
Gold dripped from every bannister, crested the ceiling, and even tiled the floor.
It was fool’s gold, all of it.

Drown
Drifting slowly
through the current of my
Mind
I Drown in Thoughts and Feelings and
Ideas
I thought I had Forgotten

Tons o’ abstracts incoming, cap’n!

Bleed
Sometimes we forget the other sides of the story, that bleed over in to our own.

This was my second Printmaking assignment: a “suicide print,” which is a type of reduction carved block print wherein each colour is printed, then more is carved away. Thus, only a limited number of prints can ever be made. This is 1 of 5.
Of course, thanks to the advent of the internet, an unlimited number of prints can be made of these prints, and I adore this fact.
