First longer quick sketch.
Warmup sketches for Figure Drawing. We had a new model that day, and were working with charcoal.

Alcohol marker, ink, gel pen, and prismacolour pencil. First big assignment for Drawing in the Expanded Field
A wip shot of the assignment due tomorrow. Just need to fours out the background and then finish it up. (I’ll touch up the sky and finish my clouds once I know what I’m doing with the background. I want colors to blend. )
edit: ehhhh jotnot kinda destroyed the quality when straightening the skew so I added the unedited photo, too.

Third time’s the charm? Couldn’t get this to go through for some reason!

Figure drawing in class work. Haven’t done rub out in a long time. I wasn’t used to charcoal being as smudgy and light as vine charcoal is.

So far I’m seeing that my ability to convey depth falls apart the instant I’m not allowed to shade fully. But this one is a mess anyway due to picking a weird perspective I wasn’t comfortable with.
